The James A Haley Veterans’ Hospital (JAHVH) is located in the North Tampa Area. If you are leaving from the Airport or South Tampa take Interstate-275 to the Fletcher exit. Then follow Fletcher for about 2 miles and make a right turn (south) on to Bruce B. Downs Blvd and you will see the JAHVH on your right. The JAHVH is located across from the University of South Florida between Fletcher and Fowler Avenue on Bruce B. Downs Blvd. (Click on Hospital Location tab on the Menu for additional driving direction)

Parking at the JAHVH is problematic at best. You are advised to park at the University Square Mall and take the JAHVH shuttle bus to the hospital. The Veterans’ Administration provides shuttle buses that run every 15 minutes from the mall to the hospital. The JAHVH stops are clearly marked with a sign and are located on the First Floor of the mall parking garage in front of Dillard’s. It is recommend that you park on the third floor of the parking garage and allow plenty of time in the morning for both traffic and parking.

On the day of your interview, proceed directly to the pharmacy administrative office located on the second floor of Admin Building (Building 41). If you are using the JAHVH Shuttle, get off at the 2nd bus stop located just under the overhead walk-way to the USF medical school. Do not enter the main hospital building. As you face the main hospital, the Admin building is to the left of the hospital emergency entrance towards the water tower. The easiest way to find the Pharmacy Office is to follow the signs pointing to Human Resources, which is located on the first floor of the building.
